Safety Notice and Release

This product assists patient breathing while sleeping, for the purpose of treating Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). This is by the delivery of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) in order to prevent airway obstruction. ALWAYS FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS FOR USE.

If you have not already done so, we recommend that you consult a specialist sleep physician, medical practioner or an authorised sleep clinic to confirm that the settings are suitable for you before use.

Your new CPAP Device has the default settings pre-set unless specially advised during your order. Before using the device, you must ensure that the settings are suitable for your specific condition and that they will not cause harm to any pre-existing medical issues you may have.

The following pre-existing conditions may contraindicate the use of positive airway pressure. Please consult your doctor before using this device:

• Severe bullous lung disease;
• Pneumothorax;
• Low blood pressure causing symptoms;
• COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
• Heart conditions
• Cerebrospinal fluid leak, recent cranial surgery, or trauma; ;
• Central Sleep Apnoea;
• Hypoventilation;
• Neuromuscular Disease;
• High Dose Opioid benzodiazepines
• Dehydration

Modifying the pre-set settings without the assistance of a medical professional has the potential to cause serious physical harm to your respiratory and cardiovascular functions.

Where you have failed to obtain recommend medical advice or otherwise have not disclosed all relevant medical information at the time of receiving that advice, you agree upon using the device, that to the greatest extent permitted by law:

1. your use of the device is entirely at your risk; and
2. you, on behalf of yourself and your successors and assigns, fully release, and forever hold harmless Easy CPAP Pty Ltd, its affiliates and its personnel, from all claims made as a consequence of any physical or mental harm suffered whether directly or indirectly from your use of the device (together an Assumption of Risk and Release). You also agree, upon using the device, to indemnify us and to keep us indemnified from any loss, cost or damage we suffer as result of a third party using your machine. If you do not agree to this indemnity or to the Assumption of Risk and Release above, you must not use the CPAP Device.

Easy CPAP does not continuously monitor any patient information and will only evaluate individual periods with the users written approval to access the information.
